On a sunny day, a little girl named Termeh was sitting among the pink flowers of the garden. Suddenly, she found a small, colorful carpet that had been spread out under the shade of the apple tree. Termeh looked with surprise at the carpet’s beautiful patterns and designs.
Termeh gently sat down on the carpet. Suddenly, the carpet gave a little shake and rose from the ground like a piece of straw. Termeh laughed and said, “Wow! This is a magic carpet!” The little carpet slowly went higher and higher.
At that very moment, her little rabbit, whose name was Panbeh, jumped up with a big hop onto the carpet. Panbeh wiggled his soft tail and sat next to Termeh. Now the two of them were ready for a dreamy journey in the sky.
The wind carpet carried them up above the trees. Termeh stretched out her hand and picked a sweet, red apple from the tip of the tree. A gentle breeze caressed her hair, and the lovely scent of flowers had filled the air everywhere.
They passed through cottony clouds. The clouds were soft and white, like vanilla ice cream. Termeh and Panbeh waved their hands and feet and, like painters, made the clouds into different shapes.
Suddenly, a beautiful, colorful rainbow appeared in the sky. The wind carpet slid down the rainbow like a slide. Termeh shouted with joy: “Hooray! What a wonderful game!”
A small blue bird was flying beside them. The bird sang for them in a sweet voice. Termeh waved to the bird, and the bird, too, greeted her by fluttering its wings.
Panbeh looked down over the edge of the carpet. Below them was a river full of liquid chocolate and golden fish. Panbeh hopped and bounced with happiness and enjoyed watching all that beauty.
The kind sun was slowly going behind the mountains, and the sky was turning orange and purple. Termeh was slowly starting to feel tired. She rested her head on the soft carpet and looked at the little stars that had just woken up.
The wind carpet slowly came down and sat right in the middle of the garden, next to the flowers. Termeh and Panbeh fell into a deep sleep on their magic carpet. They knew that tomorrow, too, they could go on other dreamy trips with the wind carpet.
