On a starry night, a little star woke up. It smiled, but suddenly it became sad. It had forgotten its lovely name. Jooya sat and thought, but it couldn’t remember anything.
The Sky said in a calm voice: “My dear, I love all the stars, but your name has been hidden among the clouds. Go and ask the night wind.” Jooya waved to the Sky.
Jooya flew among the soft clouds. Suddenly it saw a small blue bird. The bird’s name was “Pari.” Pari was sitting on a cottony cloud and singing.
Jooya asked Pari: “Pretty Pari, have you heard the song of my name?” Pari fluttered its wings and said: “Your name is like a sweet lullaby. Maybe the flowers know it.”
Jooya looked down. It saw a garden full of colorful flowers. It slowly came down and sat on a green leaf. It looked at its own reflection in the water of the pond.
Nearby, a little girl named “Goli” was sitting by the window. Goli was looking at the sky and smiling. She always talked with the stars.
Goli softly whispered: “My star, how beautiful you are! I have named you ‘Jooyaye Noor’ (Seeker of Light), because you always show the way.” Hearing these words, Jooya sparkled.
Jooya shouted: “I found it! My name is ‘Jooya’!” Now it knew forever who it was. It thanked Goli and flew up toward the sky.
Jooya returned to the Sky’s side. Now it was the brightest star in the sky. It knew that everyone has a name that stays in their heart like a treasure. Good night, little star!
