In a faraway forest, where the trees smelled like chocolate and honey, a little bear named “Geli” lived. Geli’s bed was made of swan feathers and soft mint leaves. The kind sun was just stretching behind the mountains, sprinkling its golden rays across Geli’s face.
Geli opened his eyes. He loved mornings! Because in the mornings, the world looked like a fresh painting. He stretched his fluffy hands up toward the sky and gave a long yawn. On his hair he had a shiny pink bow tie that sparkled a little with every movement.
Geli jumped out of bed and, with his little feet, walked on the damp grass. Dewdrops shone on the blades like tiny pearls. He touched one of the drops with the tip of his foot. The drop was cool and it gave him a feeling of happiness.
Suddenly, a beautiful blue butterfly named “Nabat” fluttered around Geli’s head. Nabat shook her wings and said: “Hello, Geli! How nice that you woke up early! Today the Meadow of Wishes has become really something to see.” Geli smiled and with his little hand tried to catch the morning breeze.
Together they ran toward the meadow. The meadow’s flowers were not ordinary; they were singing flowers! When the wind wound its way through the pink and purple petals, a gentle music, like the sound of little bells, reached their ears. Geli stood in the middle of the flowers and listened to the melody of the earth.
Geli began to spin around. His imaginary skirt, made of petals, danced in the air. In a loud voice he said: “Waking up early is like a private party with the sun!” Nabat spun around him too, and blue glittery powder fell from her wings.
They reached a magical bush that, instead of raspberries, had honey bubbles. Geli picked one of the bubbles. The bubble popped in his hand, and the scent of jasmine flowers and fresh sweetness spread. It was the tastiest breakfast a little bear could eat.
Geli set some of the honey bubbles on a wide leaf for his friend Nabat. They sat beside each other and looked at the bright blue sky. The clouds were like pink cotton candy drifting across the sky. Everything was calm and dreamy.
Geli realized that when you wake up early, you have more time to love the world. He looked at the sun, which had climbed higher now, and said: “Thank you for waking me up, kind sun!” And the sun, with its gentle warmth, kissed Geli’s cheeks.
The little bear hugged a big sunflower. He was ready to play all day and be kind. Geli understood that real magic is hidden in the beautiful start of every day. He was the happiest little bear in the forest.
